The purpose of Google Arts & Culture is twofold. First, it makes art and culture accessible to everyone, wherever they are. Second, it aims to be a partner of innovation in cultural institutions. It works with cultural organizations to help them share and preserve cultural content and create exciting cultural experiences, using state-of-the-art technology.

Google Arts & Culture in numbers:

  • More than 2,000 museums, galleries, and institutions in 70 countries to make their exhibits available to everyone online.
  • Over 6 million photos, videos, manuscripts, and other documents related to art, culture, and history.
  • Over 7,000 digital exhibitions across the Google Arts & Culture platform.

In Greece, Google Arts & Culture is already collaborating with 11 organizations, the Acropolis Museum, the Holy Monastery of Patmos, the Benaki Museum, the Museum of Islamic Art, the Museum of Cycladic Art, the Numismatic Museum, the Neoclassical Sculpture Center Nikos Sofialakis ‘, the National Gallery – Museum of Alexandros Soutzos, Theocharakis Foundation, the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation, as well as the Street Mode Festival.
